Our newest reference provider
We were delighted to have a new reference provider join us today! Wythe, son of Special Collections Librarian Jamie Nelson, took his very first turn at the reference desk today, sharing duties with Margi Rogal.

Reference assistance has never been more adorable!
East Hall Press on display

Celebrating 38 years and 23 books, Augustana’s own East Hall Press is now on display in the library.
Under the supervision of Dr. Karin Youngberg, East Hall Press has been operating since 1969. Among East Hall Press’ publications are Dick Stahl’s 1988 After the Milk Route, Roald Tweet’s 1996 The Quad Cities: An American Mosaic, and Ann Young’s (a.k.a. Ann Boaden and Karin Youngberg) The Nine Days Wonder.
Come enjoy the books, illustrations, and fonts on display!
Important Notice: I-SHARE unavailable
I-SHARE will be unavailable from approximately 12:01am until 10:00am, this Sunday, December 16, 2007, due to operating system maintenance.
Also, Ulrich’s Periodicals will be unavailable from 9 PM on Friday, Dec. 14 to 9 PM on Saturday, Dec. 15, also for maintenance reasons.
Thank you for your patience as we perform these necessary updates.
It’s A Wrap!

Are you stuck in the holiday rush and need to get wrapped? Are you all boxed up? Maybe you are thinking, “don’t box me in” and you’d prefer to use a gift bag?
If you are looking for a special way to wrap a holiday gift, or are just looking to make a special gift, come to Tredway Library to make your own “book” box or bag!
We’ll teach you how to make the boxes and bags, using book covers as the foundation. They are a decorative way to wrap your gifts — and you are recycling, too!
Tues, Dec. 11 from 1-3 pm and 7-9 pm
Mon, Dec. 17 from 1-3 pm and 7-9 pm
Meet at the table near the Reference desk on 2nd floor
Naked Came The Librarian: Chapter Three
Naked Came The Librarian: Chapter Three
By Jamie Nelson, Special Collections Librarian
The clock radio reads 6:47 when static and voices burst forth. I can hear Renee Montagne talking and I’m quite happy to listen to the news for a few minutes. My alarm is always set for prime numbers. There’s something adventurous about avoiding the conventional 6:45 or 6:50 wake up call.
