A quarter of first-year students conducted original research on some aspect of Augustana’s past using archival materials preserved in Special Collections during Fall term.  These students had the opportunity to use rare, primary-source materials for their research and to handle original documents.

In keeping with our tradition of celebrating library milestones with treats, we celebrated with apple tart. Of course, you don’t need to come with a class to do research in Special Collections, and we hope to see many more students, researching a wide variety of topics, over the course of the academic year.
