It’s Preservation Week! We in Special Collections would invite you in for a demonstration of how we preserve college and local history materials (photographs, scrapbooks, journals and diaries, personal papers, meeting minutes, etc.) and rare books, but we are currently closed for renovation. In August we will reopen with larger teaching and exhibit spaces, as well as with new behind-the-scenes infrastructure that will improve our ability to maintain the optimum temperature and humidity levels. Environmental stability is just one facet of a good preservation plan. To learn more about how to preserve your own papers, photographs, digital files, etc., as well as how libraries and archives do this every day, visit some of the links on this page: https://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/alcts/confevents/preswk/tools/index.cfm
