Happy 150th Birthday, Augustana!

Celebrations of Augustana’s Sesquicentennial continue this fall.  The 150th website (www.augustana.edu/150) will continue to feature weekly stories on Augustana history, “This Week in the Observer,” showing what was happening on campus in years past, and “Today in Augustana History.”  This week features a story on whether Augustana College was the first college in the United States to use letter grades; check the site throughout the fall for stories on early science at Augustana, the Augustana Prohibition League, the 1918 influenza epidemic at Augustana, and much more.  In addition to the website, the library will be sponsoring a scavenger hunt for students beginning in week 7, and the second floor of the library and Special Collections will feature exhibits related to the sesquicentennial. You can also visit the index of the 150th website to see stories from last winter and spring.
