Sixth Annual WordSlough Spring Writing Contest

Remember those intriguing words from the fall and winter WordSlough? Now is your chance to use all 18 words in one piece of writing and win a $25 gift certificate from Amazon.com! Simply write a short story, a poem, an essay, a narrative, an advertisement, a song, basically anything using all 18 words. Judging criteria include creativity, appropriate use of words (definition and part of speech), and ability to engage the reader. The contest is open to Augie students and entries are due May 1, 2011 to MargaretRogal@augustana.edu, or drop your entry at the reference desk in 2nd floor of the library. And here are the words:
