Winners in Sixth Annual WordSlough Spring Writing Contest

This year, the library judges of the 6th Annual WordSlough Spring Writing Contest couldn’t decide between two outstanding entries, so they caved in and awarded two prizes–to seniors Chris and Kim Hedlin, who wrote a series of previews for films that not only incorporates all 18 of the words from this year’s weekly contests but refers to people, places, and traditions of Augustana; and Cassandra Nelson, a sophomore biology major, who submitted a short story that features street urchins who make a living pickpocketing; it even has a tragic ending. You can read both entries here:

Congratulations to these winners for their outstanding work!
