Get ready!

The River Readings at Augustana series is proud to announce that in three months from today — April 28, 2014 — author Rachel Hartman will be visiting campus to meet with classes and read from her work. Rachel is the author of the New York Times bestselling young adult novel Seraphina. Christopher Paolini, author of the Eragon series, has described Seraphina as, “Beautifully written, well-rounded characters, and some of the most interesting dragons I’ve read in fantasy for a long while. An impressive debut novel; I can’t wait to see what Rachel Hartman writes next.” (Hint: she’s working on a sequel!)

Another interesting fact about Hartman is that she has a personal connection to the college. Her sister, Laura Hartman, is Assistant Professor of Religion here at Augustana!

Pick up a copy of the book today and start reading in anticipation of her visit. And mark your calendars for Monday, April 28, at 7:00 PM in the Wilson Center. For full details, visit:
