A new library inside Tredway has gone to the beans…

and tomatoes, lettuce, sunflowers, mint and lots of other wonderful seeds. Carlisle Evans Peck and the Darwin Club began a seed library last year and have moved it to 2nd floor of Tredway Library to make it more available to the Augustana family. They invite you to take a few seeds to plant in your garden.  Record what you have borrowed and please consider sharing your surplus  seeds by leaving them in the donation box available on the display.

As your fruits and vegetables ripen and are ready to use, Darwin Club has provided an easy guide to preserving seeds so they can be used from year to year. By following their  directions, you too can contribute to the Tredway Seed Library.

For more information contact Darwin Club members, Carlisle Evans Peck or Stephanie Drago.
